Thank you so much! One of the things I really wanted for this story was to have a vibrant, detailed world rather than just kind of "RPG Western Fantasy #13" in general, I'm pretty heavily inspired by LOTR as well as "A Place Further Than the Universe," and while the latter is in the real world, the way it uses establishing shots and sets up its locations makes its journey feel much more meaningful.

It’s an alternate universe; as in not in the same sky at all. The planet is in the same place that Earth WOULD be in within that alternate universe.

"A scratcy, rusty noise..." reads different from "A scratchy rusty noise." without the comma, scratchy describes rusty. With the comma, scratchy describes noise.
