I'll admit I didn't know it popped up in anime at all, lol. It just popped up in my dive into names, and I couldn't resist a stupid pun :)
Sadly mr MC doesn't realise the kanji looks like "little birds playing" and the name is said "without hawk". At least, that's what my brief research into the confusing world of kanji pronunciations and names leads me to believe that's how it'd work, heh.
