I wonder where else the Sato name is from besides Japan, slash how she got the name (cause I’m not aware of where else) The romantic-ish given name cultural difference is fun, sells that this dynamic is a strong base for a romcom along with the other fun misunderstanding this chapter
A fun first chapter! I saw something about italics presence or absence sort of showing how foreign words seem. In that vein, your method makes sense, but maybe would make more sense if it was reversed between Japanese and English in Ryuuto’s POV. Anyway, it’s a good concept with a lot of potential and a strong feeling of authenticity!

This ending was clean, and lovely, and sweet, and the story was very well written and well paced :) I throughly enjoyed binging it. Though it doesn’t quite sit right with me that the body made all the difference. I feel like, once Yani got through her mental block, she could have left with or without the body. Though I’ll definitely be supporting this story in the contest <3
