Ok, so I'm pretty sure there's a lot more to the cute dog boy than Nobu thinks. He's probably higher up in the hierarchy than he lets on... and... Is he the same Hong as Zhang called for info?? I mean, he does like to play games... 🤔 Theorizing wildly here. LoL
I sense the beginning of a strange friendship here. Considering what he/we thought would happen to him after the kidnapping, this really isn't bad at all. All limbs left, no torture, and now magically healed wings. Could be worse, much worse.
That went a lot better than I feared, and I too am inclined to believe the cute dog boy kidnapper. Both on not wanting to kill Nobu, and killing anyone who tries to - without blinking.
Mad Dog's inner monologue is brilliant deadpan during the fight. But Mr Stillwater turned out to be a mouthful... It's a good thing Zhang decided to officially change sides. Or they'd all been f-worded.
Mad Dog's inner voice is great. Operating on scents and food likenesses are perfect.
The mystery thickens... There's definitely more to Zhang than I (and Nobu) thought.
Isn't it annoying when the bad guys do smart things? Like using a laminator...
Now I want to see Mad Dog pound these guys to smithereens.

Yeah... I did consider adding a longer miscommunication arc, but I'm honestly not a fan of making otherwise well-functioning and rational young adults suddenly lose any communication skills they have. And Aoi is a rather direct person when she wants to be. A few more plotlines coming up, and yes -- we'll see more of the stalker.
I'm happy it comes across as intended. I wanted to anchor them in a Japan that feels realistic, so their relationship doesn't just exist in a strange vacuum that could be anywhere.
He really is... even more so after he overcomes some... issues...
