As I quickly said in my review, I think this story would've needed more in-depth information about Mathael and the old majis, but I believe you still conveyed the idea pretty well: I can understand Izhari, but she isn't a saint nor becomes some sort of saviour in the end, so she ends up perpetuating the cycle of violence. I think it's fitting, and that it can be a very interesting beginning point for a future novel. I liked how you constructed it
