I'm still alive--just busy. As this arc comes to a close, I am reminded of how long I've been writing for. One year ago I never really imagined I would actually write this much. I also hadn't realized how much extra work this story would take to write back then. Well, sunk-cost fallacy or something I guess.

Pax's thought processes are loosely based off of my own. And yet sometimes I'm not sure what he would think about certain scenarios. Pax is no fool, he knows what he is doing. And yet, he still walks straight into traps. He still acts, knowing that he is making a mistake. He knows what is right and what is wrong, yet he chooses wrong every time. Why do you think that is? Because it's certainly not due to some external influence.

I'm reposting this story on Webnovel. There are actually some changes in the webnovel version other than grammar mistakes. You know, I think Webnovel is a shitty website. It's just completely filled with bots. I mean, honeyfeed isn't much better but like... yk? the vibes over at Webnovel are just horrible. Like its just infested with AI and slop and goonerbait and more slop. Except for shadow slave. I like shadow slave.

Sakura is named after Sakura from Fate/stay night. It's a good series. would rewatch if I had more free time. If you compare Sakura from both series, you'd find a few similarities (not all of them were done purposely I swear).

Finally we reach the turning point of this cycle. Can you tell that this is one of my favorite chapters? It ended up being significantly longer than normal... Probably should've split it into two (would get more views that way).

This arc is ending soon. Like 1-2 more chapters (depending on how you count). I've been thinking about the point of this story. Maybe that in itself is the point of the story, but is it strange that I want this to be something more? I want to say something, but it's hard to get all of the pieces to work together to say the same thing.

So many words, and a new character just introduced. When will this story every end? Don't worry, I could end this in three chapters at pretty much any point if I wanted to (kind of). Can't believe I procrastinated so hard on this chapter. I had three exams the other day, but like I also procrastinated on those too. And I didn't even do well on those either. Maybe I should just cry instead of putting in all this work...

There... was something I wanted to say, right? Yeah... I remember thinking, "I should definitely say that next time" It was something so cool too... Spires? Sure, I can talk about that. I played Slay the Spire a while back, and thought that a colossal spire would be cool. I had planned for some big battle at this point, but thought that it needed something a lil fun. A lil spice, you could say. Hence, the spire. Really, everything came together nicely after that.

This will be the third eclipse featured in this story, but it is more unique than the others. No spoilers though (unless someone asks for them, like seriously I will answer any and all questions asked. hold on does that make me a slut? Can someone be a slut if they get no play? Will 2026 be my year? Are weekly chapters enough? Should I rewrite everything? Who is Pax? Who am I? Who are you? Who is chris cringle? What was I talking about?)

I went back and reviewed the first... thirteen chapters. I'd like to think that I'm a better writer now than I was back then. Damn, I made a lot of mistakes. Like how did I now see all of that? Anyways, I went and fixes a lot of the mistakes. I also made some other small changes --not anything that changes the story. I'll probably continue looking over chapters and fixing errors/making small changes.

If you haven't noticed (or if you're reading this far in the future), I changed the cover again. This time it was just some slight adjustments. I wanted to better emphasize the "madness" of Pax; Unliving and also make some of the linework pop a bit more. I know I don't say it enough, but thanks for reading.
