What can I say about this first renewed chapter? Honestly, I wouldn't have thought that Gurgunette would bring me to tears both ways – first logically near my eyes, but also to also make me tear up white upon my thighs? Freaking genius. It was too goddamn funny.
More seriously, this chapter addressed all of my concerns and points from my previous comments. As such, I am glad, extremely glad even.
For, the characters are easily recognisable – be it in their appearances (and I know someone got a type when I see one) – to their personalities. It's so quirky, they feel like real persons. But more importantly, Gurg succeeded at actually making us feel like we're friends with them because truth be told, it reminds me of my own IRL friends – and the dynamics are exactly similar, it's fun.
As for this chapter in particular, it's a slow but meaningful start, we get time to be properly introduced to each and every character – it kinda feels like these old East Asian office dramas. Compared to before, it's clearer and flow well.
What's more, the prose is easy to read, the dialogue fluid and natural, and the paragraphs short and concise. In a way, this can be weird for someone coming from the days of DDD and EEE, but this most certainly show Gurg's growth as a writer – and it went by leaps and bounds.
