...my work has fans?
That stupid tree is growing on me more and more. It was just supposed to be the thing Chista demonstrated on until my little story gremlin said in my head, "You know, Honey would name it."
I will bring him back whenever I can now.
Baltz Maridan is a supremely self aware human being.
Honey being able to turn into a dog creature is a toy I like having the ability to play with from time to time. But I do agree, the focus should be on her as a human. That is the form she wants to be in.

A few more spelling and grammar mistakes, lie using supposed twice in a sentence. Don't do that.
But I love that the beginnings of romance happens out of spite. I love me some good spite. "I don't want to marry you! I don't even know you!"
"I know! And it’s not like you'd be useful!"
"Exactly! And furthermore...the hell did you just say?"

Baltz would balk at the label of tsundere. He is merely aggressively correct.

Which is why I put it in there. Normally I'd wonder if it is too mean of a word to use towards Honey, but technically that is what she is.

LITERALLY ANYONE: "Why do you have that potion..."
GRATHAM: "Research! And nothing more!"
I do not know how much of that statement is a joke.

Aha! I think it's because I fully justify the text. It forces the spacing to align with both the left and right sides, so since I only made sure the paragraph breaks were in all my submissions I never saw how jank that was. Thanks for the heads up.

Read the first chapter again and see how the formatting looks. I tried something.

Like I said, this time it is discipline. Like Goku with his weighted clothes, I am restricting myself until it feels easier and more normal to write shorter, more concise chapters without restricting myself. One of my problems is rambling. I once hit 3000 words in a chapter without even trying. I'm gonna fix that crap.
I have zero ability to just do one chapter. I am being incredibly disciplined with my latest story, 1000 words per chapter, no more. Once I hit around 700 I reevaluate all the stuff I still want to do and and play which idea can work in the next chapter. But man do I always have more I want to say.
That's kind of how I view the monthlies. It gets an idea out at its most basic. It's honestly weirdly part of the fun. You have 7000 words, get something out, go.
One of the problems with my writing that I'm focusing on with Sweetheart is the ending. I have a firm idea of it. I know when it will happen. It will leave things open but not sequel bait. I will not rush it. I will beat this problem I have.
I'd have loved to have one or two more chapters, but they said around 7000 words. If I ever come back to it I plan on expanding it.
