I've actually thought of that. If Honey has been around for most of Zack's life, she'd be pretty old in dog years. Then she would have come out as a mature human woman, and honestly, I had enough trouble getting people past the guy dates his dog premise for that one. So my current thought is she has the mentality of a sixteen year old girl with the memories and feelings of Honey the dog in her mind and soul. From this point forward, she is physically a normal, if occasionally anthropomorphic magic power using, girl.

I considered having Zack comment on that but I try to have a strict word count with each chapter to keep me from rambling. So just imagine she went to Earth and read a bunch of psychology books on a trip. Or, no, wait, it's hidden lore. The kids love hidden lore. Wait for the theory video on it.

A pretty good start so far! Some spelling and grammar issues, things which could be fixed in an editing passover, but the actual story itself really pulls you into her life and desperation. I've never been a 30 year old salary woman, but I feel like I have been this woman. Keep on going with that level of character.
