Great cliffhanger to end off! You'd think the NPC mayor would give him problems, but she instead told him to save the world, and she's an NPC! I did love the closure Kyou gave for both Mikan and the three dead players, and I especially liked how Kyou's heart is slowly growing for others, but he still doesn't quite understand why. It's so funny that Mikan keeps insisting on joining Kyou despite how much he wants her to shoo off until he's like "oh, alright, fine, do whatever, I don't care" 🤣

One wish for those who beat the game, dang, that's quite the reward. I do like how the conversation with Mikan gave us readers the idea of different reactions and chaos that the general public experienced. Nobody wanted to enter the dungeon with Mikan, and so that's how Rexx invited her to his party. Man, items that conceal if you're a PKer are pretty underhanded.

But yes, I do feel that the penalty protocol started for Kyou was linked to the maximized difficulty. It's like God 404 knew Kyou would be a problem and purposefully took measures to prepare the game for strong players like him. It really felt like a deliberate setup. And wow, Mikan said, Kyou can be the key to victory. I like how Kyou is still sorta cold to Mikan despite how innocent she seems, like "shut up and follow me"😂

Man, now the N-Sec NPC security is against Kyou! Stakes keep getting higher, and I love it. It's a very interesting, yet odd interaction between Kyou and Mikan. Kyou oddly decides to help her escape the N-Sec, and when they talk, Mikan somehow recognizes that Kyou was the legendary player who vanished. Boy, you'd think Kyou would at least help a decent person not involved with any PK stuff, right? It definitely caught me off guard, but I loved that my expectation was flipped :)

Something I forgot to mention was that I love how waves were supposed to be seasonal events to beat the drone and farm, but I loved that now, with maxed difficulty, it's no longer an innocent farm event, but a massacre. I loved that, and I just want to mention that. 😁

Very satisfying, indeed. I loved as Kyou obliterated more of the PK party; he even remembered the three they killed, showing how personal it was to him. Also, it was very observant that he paid close attention to their reactions to their deaths. Now, the patcher girl is left, and it's quite an interesting thing that Kyou observed she didn't have a PK skull and had a very different, polar reaction to the innocent deaths. Perhaps she was pressured to or had herd mentality to join any group, even if it's a bad group. Regardless, I can't wait to see what happens next.

Awesomeness! 👏 I knew that these players had no idea Kyou was a high-level player; they had it coming. I liked that he portrayed way more knowledge as one, knowing the different classes and what was considered a beginner combo and what was not. He clearly had the experience over the novice player killers.

Man, I was so hopeful that Kyou would finally have friends. I loved how initially, Kyou didn't care about the beginners and only his own motivation. That was until he heard them beg for their family, similar to how his grandpa wanted Kyou to find happiness. And just when he was about to have a new beginning from loneliness, his chance to have friends unlike before was just wiped out, just like that. It was truly painful, but I certainly loved Kyou's progression and conflict over whether to work with others or not. Now, Kyou, use your anger and beat them up! 😂

I loved how you established the high stakes of this game. Sure, Kyou has his old account, but it seemed that God 404 knew about it and gave a penalty protocol. I knew something was fishy!😅 I wonder what that will mean, but I love how you established that the game has been upgraded to maximum difficulty, designed as if to prevent players from winning. And it's a great, solid motivation for the MC that he's not here for anything but for Ayane.

I love how to save the world and even live, you established that Kyou and others must enter and beat the game to do it. There's no choice but an urgent need to escape extinction. I liked that twist when Kyou entered the game; he was the last player to enter, and the game granted him a wish to restore his old, powerful account that was lost before. I honestly didn't see that coming, but I loved those unexpected twists. It gives you a fishy feeling, why God 404/UNKNOWN GOD would allow that. But I love this!😁

I did like how you were establishing why Kyou became so lonely due to his family sadly dying off, and his grandpa wanted him to find happiness, which Kyou found in ACO. It actually makes me feel sad for him, but it gave so much meaning to why Ayane became so important to him. I always love it when the MC isn't a blank slate like most others I find in "dime in a dozen" isekai.

Awesome first chapter! I love the futuristic vibes of the game, like the mechanical rats. I'm always into the sci-fi/matrix style genre. I love how you cleverly named the villain God 404, like 404 forbidden. Great way to introduce him and his ominous declaration to beat the game, or your world ends, and man, it's already happening! There are lots of RPG isekai that try to introduce being stuck in the game, but the way you introduce that premise compared to SAO was something!👏
