Def don’t wanna sound like a know-it-all, but recently Augusts have been scorching hot and humid, but not rainy 😅 does this story take place in the 90’s though? Because the rainy season and temperatures overall have definitely shifted! I’d argue May/June are the wettest months now.

Sorry, this is literally the first Japan reference in the whole story that gave me pause. Everything is so accurate!
