So far this definitely reminds me of classic literature. The letter/journal format is reminiscent of Gothic classics and the setting feels a lot like old scifi. I'm enjoying it

Thank you so much!!! 💜 I absolutely adore Yokai, and for some reason the Kojin (also called Samebito) has always been one of my favorites. I did a lot of research on sharks, especially Nurse Sharks, to write this too~

If you'd like to read stories with them, the most famous one is "The Gratitude of the Samebito" in a 1900s book called "Shadowings" by Lafcadio Hearn.
