It's fun to write.
The covers are a pain to make though.

My comments tend to get harsh & heated sometimes when talking about certain points in stories. I apologise in advance as I mean nothing bad by it to you personally, just me beefing with whatever part of the story I'm in at the time.

"found me on time" should be in time.

So brother found from arlene about the rune but has to keep up appearances, he must be quite curious on how he really got the rune. still a bad plan though, still a bag fumble, arlene should be in the know.

"Following tradition, demigods only marry post partum." I'm not going to lie, out of EVERYTHING in this story, this seems like the most BS thing of "we needed them to not be married yet" BS excuse that i've seen. Almost like an excuse of why/to help the fact galardos will eventually be with milla or something, which honestly I'm starting to hope doesn't happen. It really does feel purely like BS, high grade bullshit for sure. In the end, eh, iffy. Hope galardos remains with Arlene.

Ngl, this whole scene was bullshit. If anyone can keep secrets it's gonna be the own that owns a whole spy network. To do that because she would "lose a fight to isabella" as if they'd ever come to blows, as if she'd have no allies like Vahrum, Galardos and everyone else.
Just ass. She should have been in. Or even if not fully in given some signal that SOMETHING else is afoot, and for her to realize that it must remain hidden from her. That way she knows somethings up, that he's helping galardos but not the full extent (though she really should know everything). Well it is what it is in any case. Unfortunate

On another note, it mentions the arrest of the 3, but is the cousin also coming along? or not arrested? or arrested but different carriage? I'm guessing cousin coming along. Would make most sense.

I'm Not Paid Enough To Be The Hero
    Chapter:28

I already found the line of "finding purchase" or whatever it was odd before, but "released her purchase" is even more odd.

I guess she thought pulling the arm that poked out would do more damage than good, fair.

So she is alive? a giant(?) boulder rolled directly over her, and the only thing it accomplished was bury her alive? I think this is the thing I've doubted the most in this whole story. THAT was the extent of the damage by the boulder? crazy.

So how big is the mountain that the road was clearly on? didn't seem like they were on high elevation and neither did it seem that there was enough time to get THAT high up.

She already been using all sorts of magic, I don't think this one will matter at all, heck none of them will because of their PoV. Like "your honour, the criminal did crimes!" yeah, no shit sherlock.

She's allowed to do whatever, they literally can't stop her, plus given she's not in shackles, this is only half custody at best.

"easier this way" nah, just say no. What they gonna do? try to slap her? I'd like to see them explode. They ain't gonna do shit

Like seriously, technically she could now do whatever including not go with them thanks to the spell. Since they literally can't harm her now. Heck, I'd say she could do another one of these (or could have already done something like this earlier) but for like a do not harm her allies at all or anything. and have both contracts become null and void upon her leaving this dimension or death by natural clauses.
I never thought about something like this because I thought it's just magic, but now that I know it can be done in a method like this. It opens up a lot. Including the plot hole of why the fuck she didn't do this before (explainable by her not thinking of it until now) but also the why the hell is she going with them, there was no clause she HAD to go with them. and also the why doesn't she keep doing them.
Honestly I think opening the magic up to genie-like contracts just made the story worse. Because while it IS interesting, it opens up many avenues to a VERY EASY way out, or specifically safety from these losers so she can search for a way out without wasting her time.

If I remember right the spell yesterday was to claim a tree, not a human life. I can't believe astra died. this feels ass.
So that's why the weather was still like that? But again, it was either to do distraction or destroy a tree, that was the whole purpose, and while the magic twisted into nonsense because she didn't have wind magic or whatever. The purpose twisting wouldn't make sense imo.

But back on the "this feels ass part" I mean this little arc. It feels like nonsense. Realistically the only thing we got out of this little trouble was killing off astra and the old man (doesn't achieve anything) and the reveal that stylus cares for Astra or knows her in some form, which wasn't made to be a big deal, more of a blink and you'll miss it moment, and there was no reaction from anyone else.
It feels like the landslide was here just to be here. Just for no reason. Because again, anything plot related gotten out of this was the very small moment of stylus knowing Astra, which ain't much.

Final note, Anna should have stayed in place until they payed their respects, not like they'd be able to do anything, not without exploding thanks to the contract. (it's very one sided, because only one side wants to kill the other.)

The Stylus is Mightier Than the Sword?!
    Chapter:30

OK she had wings I guess, and I guess he knew that? that makes it slightly better, but to tbh still mega iffy.

Emperor got mad at kathenian republic, and decides to attack a different random city state? He really was insane.

He did as I predicted and actually was in the battle himself. 1000 years did this much damage to his intelligence? damn.

So is the torture unnamed or is the torture the curse? it almost feels like its saying the torture is the curse, but that doesn't seem quite right.

So just constant pain but big? that's the curse? I guess because its constant that made it the most powerful? must have cost henrietta a good bit to cast something this powerful. Though idk. I guess I expected more for the "most powerful curse"

I could see fault in both, though I did expect her two switch her tune after being saved by him. Usually being saved from kidnappers tends to make their opinions change after all.

So potentially minutes to hours is how long the curse lasted? that's less than I thought too... This section just got a LOT LESS impressive ngl.

So if you're spiritually contracted/connected, if one goes insane, all go insane in it? interesting.

Alaiel the only one strong enough to not become insane, nice.

Still unsure what a geas is ngl, I guess some oath like spell?

So he is one of the few that has a pocket dimension. Did it come pre installed with a central core?

Couldn't he simply remove his heart and have it be healed? or because curse tied to his soul or something it would come with the curse rune pre installed? wonder how that'd work with donor hearts.

Succession crisis? should be pretty easy, everything goes to the heir prince, cyrus. The only crisis here is if the empress wants everything to herself, and that point, she gotta die, she seems to have gone a bit mad herself too. Well I guess it's worse if there's no such tradition or no will by emperor or something.

She can't remove the curse SHE herself placed? immediate BS. If you can't remove it, then you wouldn't have the power to apply it, I see it as simple as that. either BS or she's lying.

Its not that the empress needs removing, she needs dying. even if the empress became a commoner she could still activate the rune after all, and that's his issue from what he's said.

So the fuck happened with cyrus? he still out there? I'm surprised we aint asking HIM for a favour instead of vahram. But I guess as long as the person is trustworthy, it doesn't really matter who.

I'm Not Paid Enough To Be The Hero
    Chapter:24

Another female dragon that did the deed, interesting.

Oh they're all female? and it wasn't by chance but they just HAD to be consorts? ngl that kinda makes it more dull for me. Dont really see why they'd have to do it, whatever.

I don't think that symbolism works there. I mean, very clearly the dragons are not 100000% for the order or that other one wouldn't have been sealed, so this symbolism is simply a farce, nonexistent. it just became even more meh.

Makes sense she'd develop a feelings, a hundred years learning from him and all.

Huh, I never made the connection of isabella the leader of the inquisition being a princess. I guess we were never told, but the leaders tend to be heads or people of importance, so I should have guessed something like that. Can't believe I didn't.

"imprisoned a guardian dragon" indeed, which makes the previous "symbolism" null and void, there never was any tbh. That would be the case if they were 1000% loyal to the order only, and if the dragon was gotten, then they couldn't have been.

I feel like the whole Cyrus asked for help then >explanation why, then anyway cyrus asked for help to be odd, given the two asks.

    typo "bestto"

So few years later was 8, ok.

I'm not gonna lie, she was spoiled, fucked it up, but to choose to throw her out of the carriage is insane. At the end of the day, she is still 8 years old, so unless demigods are different from humans and act as if they were 80 at 8 years old, this is a profoundly stupid choice. Did she even know teleportation at that point?
Honestly he was 1000% in the wrong there, at that point no surprise they're after his dumb ass.
