Okay, so, the Pratchett influence is as clear as day. As someone who's many times been told I wear the the same influence, I love to see someone else who can nail it.
There are moments where the back to back to back long-winded metaphors can get a little tedious when describing people's actions. I might consider cutting one or two for sake of flow.
That said, this chapter made me literally laugh out loud half a dozen times. Well, well done!
