An interesting start, really enjoying this so far :D
I love the plant weaponry idea, it's so creative! The intro of the monster was so well-written. I loved the descriptions - you did so well in revealing how the monster looked. Amazing!

Wow, what a wonderful first chapter! I love how you described them - the writing is so beautiful. They created beautiful imagery in my head (and if it were an anime, it could maybe start with gentle piano as the characters were introduced? ahaha i'm just thinking out loud here >.<) Nice job! <3
