I just realized I uploaded the version where Emma says it back rather than the “fixed” one where it just confirms she heard him this time. SIGH… oh well.
I didn’t have time to write an afterword, so let me just say it here: thanks to everyone that read Cupid’s BLAME!, like… holy shit… I’m glad something I made resonated with so many people, and I’m glad you all found a character to love within its pages. I know everyone says this but you really have no idea how much your support helped me keep going 😢 it feels really cool.
Since I’m already here, subtleties I’d like to mention: the beetle was called Gregor as a nod to Kafka’s work. Aristide was, in fact, Jules Verne’s best friend. I associated Airi with mushrooms like Alice in Wonderland. Adam was kinda dark and mysterious like Dracula. Although Jules Verne and Alexandre Dumas weren’t romantically involved (that we know of,) they did know each other. The list goes on, and I enjoyed hearing your theories/catching the small references peppered all over, haha.
This got long… anyway, thanks again for stopping by, and hope you stick around for whatever comes next!
