Hey thanks for reading and commenting, I do appreciate it a lot.

Sorry if you took the comment that way, the context was that I was trying to explain to Blip what it means to have a genre/audience mismatch and sensationalised it a bit to establish the point strongly in his mind. I’m sorry for namedropping you, and I’m sorry if you were offended by my comment.

My point was that if the promise of the story is a very polarising trope—like a bitchy tsundere, for example—sometimes, no matter how well the trope might be presented, someone who dislikes the trope may drop the story for that reason alone. Just like how a metalhead might hate classical music, or how someone might listen solely to lyric-less music, I was trying to tell Blip that his lack of readership wasn’t necessarily a product of bad writing but perhaps bad promises. What if his entire audience disliked humour, and he decided to write only about comedic themes? That was the idea I was trying to communicate to him.

It was not meant to imply my story (or character) was well-written, and neither was it a jab at you for disliking Yukimura. It was more of an admission that someone who prefers more serious themes (as I can see from your writing) might be put off by the complete lack of authenticity I’ve given to each character.

I think I might’ve gotten far too animated in trying to get my point across to Blip, and I apologise for that. I don’t have a grudge against you. In fact, I used you as an example specifically because I believe you’re a reader who knows what he wants from a story and communicates it clearly, and therefore I could use you as an example for Blip’s learning.

Once again, I apologise for my sarcastic remarks I made on that server. Thanks for reading and I hoped you enjoyed the story.
