Ngl this chapter 3 + 4 is a great hook to a mystery fantasy series. The atmosphere you’ve set up is immaculate, I’m seeing a lot of potential with the MC (def reminds me of Oliver from Spellblades). Just that the pesky isekai category is making this a lot more convoluted than it needed to be xD

I like the Numa mini arc a lot. Character writing is something that I admittedly struggle frequently, and this hits pretty much all that I wanted to see. Something quite short so it doesn’t interfere with the main story, quite simple so the readers don’t need to ponder too much on the issue (I think most would already have an idea of where the arc would go by the first chapter), but hits with just the right amount of emotional value for people to care. Great stuff

I feel like if a skeleton is outside to the point that all the flesh is gone then it shouldn’t stink, and if it’s flesh being ripped/eaten away early enough to still leave a scent then it’s too clean of a scene - perhaps some extra blood stains or bits of ripped flesh?
