Yeah, we'll still get more tidbits of lore in the second half of the story, particularly for Sanae since she's still hiding some of her past and motivations
Most of the rest of the volume will focus on Daichi and Sanae's relationship as they steadily get closer, though the next chapter will be a bit confusing 😅

Yeah, Makoto was as manipulative as they come
It sort of ties back to him mentioning his obsession about keeping people wrapped around his fingers so they never abandon him
But here we ended up seeing Sanae turning her back on him, and Hiro almost doing the same thing. But since Hiro has known Makoto for a lot longer, whatever cordial bond they share is probably a lot harder to break

Oh yeah, it's definitely a lasting curse that's hard to get rid of
Curses and poison are particularly grueling matters for Clerics to try curing, since Clerics specialize only in healing physical wounds and need to jump through time-consuming hoops to address other ailments
