I’ve been waiting for this and it didn’t disappoint! 🥳
First of all THANK YOU for taking the time to write all that! You’re the true MVP!
I’ll take everything of what you said to heart, of course, and I’ll try my best to mend my errors, and implement your advice onto my new story, when I do write it!
Other than that, I don’t have MANY things to reply with, I mean with most of what you said, the best I can do is heed your advice 😁 other than that I do have some comments here and there with the first being, I knew it! I knew it might seem like a drag during the end, since the word count was rising rapidly 😂😂 I tried to cut it short but damn was it difficult. And the doctor or crazy teacher part was added, because I thought the challenges they faced in the 2nd day, would have been significantly more than the 3rd, which to me didn’t make sense. Like the 2nd day was soooo eventful, so the 3rd had to be kind of similar in terms of things happening if that makes sense.
And also about Ayase! Ayase at first was so easy to write you know? Her wit was kinda natural but AFTER she became THE GIRLFRIEND it kinda felt like she had reached her peak for some reason. I mean her demons had been dispelled, and she had found love. And kinda early at that too… so I think I kinda hit a wall there 😴 hoping it didn’t disappoint too much!
And now that I think about it, Tokyo Exorcist may sound REALLY similar to JJK, but I at least think it really won’t turn out that way. The only similarity is the spirits existing around the world 🤔 the rest you’ll learn when I come round to write it 🙏🏻
As for trying new things, I actually have this MASSIVE project that I’m gonna launch someday, which I aim to make my best story ever. It’s a fantasy-adventure story that I’ve been working on for 7 years now. So all these stories I’m writing right now, are kind of a warm up for that, like trying some things here and there, seeing what works and what doesn’t.
Last but not least, Mayu. Mayu was somewhat of a midway change for me. She just didn’t feel like Erwin to me, like you described (I mean yeah. Does she scream Shinzou wo Sasageyo? No.), so she was more like the motivator. Like the example of how someone should never lose hope, or nothing gets her down if that makes sense. She was like the motivation while Hideki was the brain. Plus I felt that game comparison (I’m playing through the Witcher and damn those questionmarks man…)
Anyway, thank you again for writing, and I can’t wait to see your work in February Donut! Take care until then and enjoy the new year! 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
P.S. Hotaru took Kazuya through a “secret passage” as she called it in her interlude.
