Thanks for the feedback! So far, I haven't gotten any hate for the format (more like just lack of interest because views after the first chapter dropped like a rock lol) and I feel that the regular novel formatting just doesn't work for the kind of story I'm trying to write as it jumps around to different characters all the time. Some chapters don't have the main characters in them at all. I don't know if there are any sites out there that welcome this script-style formatting so I've just settled on trying the regular novel websites (this and Scribble Hub only so far).
The writing in many of the early chapters is going to look rough because this was the first time I ever conceived a story that I actually started writing down. Not only that, many of the early chapters are stupidly short and many of them probably should have been combined into fewer but longer chapters (which I, unfortunately, can't retroactively do as my story was planned out and I have milestone chapters that I don't want to happen on a different chapter number).
That said, nowadays, the actual writing is much better but you have to get through the more rough early chapters to get to it.
As for the possibility of a generic shonen story, well, I guess that depends on your taste lol. I have no idea if you'd find it to be generic or not. That said, the story is so much more than what I put in the synopsis. I've written an expansive universe that slowly but surely opens up more and more. I'm really happy with how it's turning out.
Glad you're looking forward to the romance aspect. I like having characters slowly developing their romance so that happens nowhere near the beginning but I think the wait will be worth it.
I actually originally had no intention of ever posting this story publicly because I was content with just writing it for my own enjoyment as well as my close friends who were also reading it. It's just that now after writing it for over 7 years and counting, I figured I would see if there is anybody out there on the internet that could also find enjoyment in it.
