Third!? A really interesting opening to your story! I love the idea of a detective getting pulled into another world, lots of story ideas to mine there. The one thing I would note is perhaps consider breaking up your paragraphs so they are less lengthy and focused on the separate ideas of each (like in the opening one where you switch from the chief to the detective) so that you can keep the flow going without hiccups.

Hey thank you so much for taking a look and taking the time to make such a detailed comment. Major thank you for that comment about Rune feeling like from a Miyazaki movie, that is very much his vibe I'm trying to capture. I'm glad you're enjoying the slow-burn type of worldbuilding (also you would be right about Rune's physical prowess). I definitely will take a look at breaking up some of the longer sentences to help with the slow, I added a little jokey bit in the previous chapter you commented and it definitely helped with the flow there. I'll keep the comment about 3-4 clauses in mind to and check over some of the future chapters.
