Thank you Steam. That comes from a lot of my own personal experiences, those close to us can sometimes have ulterior motivations, and in a situation like Midori and her friends it can be hard to fully cut a person off like that. I'm glad you got that. ☺️

She is, and I may have failed to properly convey this but she has actually spent more time now as a ghost than when she were alive. She's a very isolated character due to her lack of understanding of humans, I write her as being somewhat autistic but having had to mask most of her life so she can kind of get by.

Honestly Steam, thank you so much for saying so. I've had a blast writing rune and as a trans woman it means a lot knowing I've hit the nail on the head with Rune. As for the pronouns I did mean for that but it was more just to clue the reader in (if they weren't already aware), but you are correct that Rune has always thought of himself as a man. I may tweak that in edits.
