Thanks for the feedback, including your thoughts on why the doctor didn't do anything. It's because I want the story to be interpreted in different ways and the reader can use their imagination to fill in the blanks Like what if the doctor was actually Eros himself, and he chose to surrender the girl to Thanatos' invitation because this is what her fate is or why isthe doctor knows about "the invitation of Thanatos" after the flower petals scattered by the wind. could it be a representation of Thanatos' invitation? And why is the doctor have been aware of it? " Alternatively, it is also possible that Thanatos stopped the time himself when he found out the doctor was aware of it —in order to offer the girl a one-time chance to reconsider her decision and choose to live or to die. The possibility for imagination and multiple interpretations adds another layer of intrigue and mystery, making the story even more interesting to read.The scene may have been confusing, but I want to give the readers a chance to use their own imagination and it's up to them on how they interpret the story in their own way.
