it's cool that there movies like these still get made, where it doesn't feel like the director thinks you're so stupid and devoid of introspection that their work will bore you without explosions every 5 seconds
having said that, while I get the intention behind the scene, it feels pretty on the nose, as though you'd seen or felt the same thing before and wanted to talk about it yet forgot to filter it through a 'literary' lens so to say, which is kind of ironic given the context
even though there is an attempt to show, a lot of the time, it ends up being telling. she 'felt like' this and that. maybe obviating 'felt' could help a bit more. I don't remember the term, but somebody seeing/hearing/feeling often ends up distancing rather than the alternative. as in 'she saw something beautiful' vs. 'she saw something that (insert body language response here).
Alternatively it could be that the way she interprets things is just simple, which is also fine, but it doesn't seem like you were going for that based on the language employed and intent I thought I perceived. Still, I digress. It's not bad by any means, just, ykno :P
