ok, so usually in these types of stories the mc is this power fantasy vessel thing, and on the surface ryuuto being a famous streamer who became magic incarnate and is one of the most powerful and famous people on the planet does seem very... ykno... power fantasy-ish
but his life SUCKS
I know it's the point, in a way, but man x_x everyone treats him like a commodity at this point
first i was happy about erik because he finally has some sort of connection to the outside world and can see his friends/family again, just to then be sad again because it feels like everyone sees him as the emperor's toy idk
and now it turns out that the emperor is also a shiny lil object to be kept in a cage like an antique
it's so depressing

I just hope they find a way to deal with the us vs. them mentality
that's unfortunately how the world is, but it'd still be nice to see a good human outside of erik and julia, cuz it feels like all of them are fearful with no exception so far which I don't think is true either, but I digress
I'm glad ryuu is still kind and empathetic regardless of everything going on tho
if anything I feel like he's going to be the one to help bring the species together
