I'm sure that has happened at some point but it kinda broke my suspension of disbelief, so it got hard to feel for him at the end, I'm sorry
other than that, though, it was very fun to see the gang slowly reunite, now happier, some of them fading (for the moment)

I think kashimoto is my favorite character

also, leaving aside origami's chuuni edge, I honestly feel like ikki's a lot smarter than he leads on
I'm lowkey interested to see more about him tbh, as well as fumi and evene bakataka
honestly they seem more interesting than the female lead right now
it might just be that I've seen wayyyyy too many edgy mcs x genki popular girls in this competition alone, not sure at this point

also, since a lot of people read on mobile, I'll just go ahead and say some of the paragraphs are gigantic (especially in this chapter) and might scare away some readers
I usually don't have trouble with this but I'll admit I went @-@ when I saw the watermelon paragraph
something that should be light and fun to read feels 100 years of solitude esque all of a sudden
I think it'd help a lot of you separated those a bit

I get he rejects the status quo as a coping mechanism but gawd, if I see normie one more time I'll cover his face with his hair
while I never had an 'omg normies bad' phase I can see where he's coming from, though, especially because I've always liked classic rock/metal too so it was hard for me to talk about music since I lived in the justin bieber + one direction era (dark times I tell you...)
at least he has a friend, though, and the guy seems very chill

this might sound like a roast if you know what I'm talking about, but I promise it's not :P this chapter gave me glasslip vibes
now, to elaborate, I'm talking about the atmosphere, though I agree with others about the description sometimes feeling like too much, not in the quantity sense, but in it just kind of being aesthetic words with no goal in sight
it's fine if you're trying to set the scene, but I can't say I see understand the creative decision behind describing a day as a 'ageless birthday bouquet'
