idk this might be me avoiding social media but I feel like if I saw this shitshow happening irl I'd be on the 'stop harassing teen boys for attention' club, but I digress
With that said, I finally found something to nitpick, which is the a-a-a-anime stuttering. READ THAT OUT LOUD. NOBODY STUTTERS LIKE THAT.
Anyway, kool story. I think you hit the sweet spot of "unlikable" yet interesting characters. Lena's personality and flaws were so strong that they ironically ended up dragging the story along with her (at least for me), but I think you kind of nailed it with the twinkfic. Naomi ✨ feels like the natural evolution of this. I think Riku is fine so far, but your female lead continues the trend of eclipsing the story. I don't even mean it in a bad way. They just have such strong presences that... well, other elements might fall back as a result. This doesn't even apply for protagonists only. Already Hana and the ✨Kagayaki parent ✨ are battling for the spotlight.
The two leads also have actual chemistry despite their unhinged interactions. I have a love hate relationship with the way you format plot/structure, but I think it specifically works in this story's favor. With that said, while I'd say that so far it's your best based on this first few chapter, weirdly, I feel like it hasn't reached the highs (or the lows) of past works. I feel like I can say the same for a lot of people here whose work has improved, at least to me.
Oh yeah, I'll say this to sabotage competition: I feel like your stories have a strong middle, but kind of wobble near the climax, part of it being the prose/structure, so if you haven't written/edited that yet I'd advise you to watch out for that. If I had to bitch about something, I'd say that Riku is kind of being a pushover despite his attempt to be edgy BUT I also feel like that's gonna change very soon.
Hana best girl.
