I appreciated this action sequence, well done. And with the world as messed up as it is, I respect Vanessa’s reasoning for deciding to “shoot to kill” at the bandits. She must be some shot though, the one miss aside. Jiro could learn a thing or two from her.

Vanessa’s logic is sound. The chances of the boat sinking are pretty high, considering the presence of what amounts to real-life pirates 🏴‍☠️ why not add a little flair? She should have named it too, for good measure.

I sort of like “My fuck-awful life” as a title, just based on the first chapter alone. I don’t know you well enough on a personal level to make assumptions, but the way this was written felt personal in some ways. I really liked that aspect though, sometimes it feels really good to vent in book-form.

That’s actually a really fascinating concept, I’ll have to look into that game. 🎮 Blackheart is an interesting character to write, for sure. Like you said, she really isn’t wrong in a way. The fact that the Eternals aren’t their true selves could cause some serious mental anguish to some, but her methods *do* leave something to be desired… There’s a certain delicateness that she does not possess.
