The past is a huge component of the story, for sure and since I’ve pre-read your next comment, I won’t trample all over your theories on this one. However, I will say that Felix’s battlefield crew aside from his main party of four experienced pretty tough losses on their way to the Seat of Sanity through the forgotten kingdom. Mostly rank and file soldiers, which you’ll see him have the occasional nightmare over.

What is Razzel even to do in this scenario? 🤔 I suppose the obvious thing would be to give some of the money from his assassin’s purse to support Gryffin’s daughter at the orphanage, but what then? Wait to die, to restart as someone else? To what end? It’s one thing to desire to be a hero, but he’s rightfully beginning to question what that actually means. It’s also ironic, but I keep thinking of what he can do to cause the least harm and my mind keeps going back to “stasis”, or basically, what his life was like as a NEET before. Very ironic.
