Just as I thought, Talia’s upbringing proving invaluable to the cause already. 😁 If I had to venture a guess, the people in the town are probably being threatened by Malik, and are inclined not to talk, even to someone on their wavelength like Talia. A guarantee of protection might be the thing that tips the scales. After all, what the townsfolk want most is to be left alone peacefully, from feds and from troublemakers alike.
