I noticed you posted a new story (which I'll be checking out right after this) and mentioned that this story wont get anymore chapters. So I figured I'd give my thoughts on how it made me feel.
Like a few of my comments have mentioned, you're writing had very beautiful descriptions. I enjoyed the story for it, and it felt relaxing in a way. This was something like a feel good story for me in a way.
I totally understand wanting to distance yourself from a piece though. Sometimes a wind blows and we want to follow a new path.
And I also understand that life and moving got in the way of your writing. I was in a similar situation with my contest entry. I had a very sick family member that I had to visit almost every day, which majorly cut into the time I would have been writing, editing or mapping out the story. But I don't regret that since I wanted to support them as much as I could. (I also had another story I was writing too, which took priority in some ways)
So whatever you decide to do in the future, just keep marching on! Keep going until you write stories the way you want too! I'll keep reading your stuff for sure!
