This chapter should have raised a lot of questions that had been building since earlier chapters
Here's for thought:
1. Why she joined a normal university if she is trying to pursue art? She could have gone into art institutes which there are three in San Francisco. This should be unveiled later.
2. What did Keith forget? Tip: It's something between him and Carlos to tell Jessica, something in chapter 16.
3. Why Tony actually made those lewd gestures? Shoo-ing the girls would have been enough, but I guarantee that Tony isn't just a regular asshole or someone that I wrote JUST to be there. He have a purpose when I wrote him in the first place. It will be unveiled later.
And to add details, yes. Nothing in the rumor said that it was Keith dating her. The girls only knew about the fact that she is dating a basketball player in the club' and 'she is often hanging out with a few members, including Brandon'
If you noticed, in chapter 20, those girls were gossiping right in the same class as Keith. If they knew, they wouldn't have gossiped while Keith is PRESENT.
Probably it's Jessica's friends' fault to not to spread his name when spreading the rumor around. But thing is, in chapter 20, she didn't told her friend his name either, so Jessica was also at fault. Not to mention that Keith isn't a prominent basketball player and just a reserve, so they wouldn't remember their face. Sadly, all they remember was the starters, which consist of Brandon, Tony, Sean, Edward, and Aaron. Since they saw Jessica meeting with them, they just spread it out that she was dating a basketball player, which got backfired on her.
Also, keep in mind that she was sketching, not painting. We have yet to see her paint 😆
