The answer to your question is a disappointing one, I'm afraid: the cover is pretty much a placeholder. I have no artistic skill, nor do I have the money to commission a cover, so I literally just went into canva and picked the most magical girl-looking image I could find.
That aside, thanks for giving the story a read! Despite my waxing and waning motivation, I would consider this story my first true passion project, so I sincerely appreciate you reading through and giving your thoughts.
As far as the rewrite goes, it'll likely be on hold for a little while. Exam season at uni starts in a couple weeks so I have a lot of work to do. So unfortunately, it likely won't be finished for at least a couple months, likely longer. That being said, I'm glad you enjoyed the story enough to give the re-write a shot when it's done. I also have three more volumes planned, including one from a different character's perspective, so I hope you'll give those a read too once I get round to them
