Interesting that Ekko didn’t touch MC’s sister’s pills. Considering the sister was quick to cover for MC when he said his food tasted bad, and she insisted on him not taking the pills, I wonder just how long she’s been off hers. She seems good at keeping up the facade that she’s still on them, maybe she’s been off for a while?
I really like that Ekko goes back to speaking Japanese when she gets flustered. I realised that the only other time someone speaks Japanese is the crazy guy on the bus, so it’s almost like just the act of speaking the language is a sort of passive rebellion against the oppressive state. That, and it’s very cute when Ekko does it.
