Alright! Still no power in the building and my phone is slowly dying 🤣 but it's time to read!!

Two hour drive and then...it's game time! >:) Astro jets blast off!!

That first game sounded intense! Barely won by 3 points, and everyone's dead tired afterwards? 😭 Do they still have to play another game right away? Oh good! The next match isn't till two more days. They can rest and recover. (And Jessica was watching? Nicceeee. Hope she gets to go to all the games!)

Second game and Brandon, Tony, and Sean have this game under control!! 👍with Carlos getting subbed in to help! 👀 But you know I'm waiting and hoping for Keith to have his chance! ⭐

...but not at the cost of Sean's foot!! 😭😭 Oh man the opponents were playing dirty. That is definitely a foul! I hope Sean is okay 🥺 I always want athletes to recover from their injuries 😭 At least they won the game. But I'd be running to the clinic to see if Sean was alright too!

GRADUATION CHAPTER NO MY HEART 🎓😭😭 graduations always make me cryyyy. The tears just start and then don't stop 🥺

(MariRara maybe real? Maybe happening? 👀 Riku and Kota also now gamer buddies?? I appreciate these friendships ❤️)

Also Haruhi going for Culinary School!! Heck yeah! He's going to become a chef and help support Ichika through those 8 long years of Medical school 🤭 and even though all classmates are going their separate ways, I know they'll keep in touch and stay together!

And finally, the manga store. The sweet, sweet manga store. How lovely it is to be here again, with heads held high and no otaku shame 😎 [waltzes straight to the BL section--I mean, uh, nothing!] WE'RE HERE FOR LILIA-CHAN OF COURSE. Our cupid and savior, that brought them together. Blessed Lilia-chan ❤️

I'm going to miss all these characters. Every chapter was a fun adventure and it felt like hanging out with friends. Truly, I didn't want it to end, but this was the best way things could have come together ❤️👏👏👏 congratulations Katsu, and thank you for writing!!!!!!! 🎉

Okay I need to strap in. I'm not ready for this to end 😭

But we start off strong with Ichika STANDING UP FOR HERSELF LIKE THE AMAZING GIRL I ALWAYS KNEW SHE WAS 😤😤 Heck yeah! It's your life, and you get to choose it!!! Even if that means needing to run out the door to get your point across!!! ...wait 😀 wait oh no she just ran out the door. And she had a fever. Okay. Less good.

Haruhi knows where to go 🥺 the beach by the shrine. It's time for both of them to be honest ❤️ no more fake relationship, no more hiding. Just them getting to be happy together ❤️❤️❤️ and a kiss to seal the deal!! (Or well, kisses, plural 🤭)

Haruhi standing up to Yuuto and saying marriage is for when Ichika and Haruhi decide on it...might be one of my favorite moments right there. 😤 Saying the truth like it is, and standing up for their rights to choose their own path in life.

ICHIKA THOUGHT IT WAS A FEVER DREAM 🤣🤣🤣 Ahahaha and then the kiss after that!! Beautiful! Peak 😎 Haruhi can finally be Haruhi. And Ichika can choose her own future. And they're together ahdjwnrbkwa <3333 yes.

AND THE CHAPTER TITLE CHANGE IS HERE 🥺 somehow it hits differently after these last few chapters.

(╥﹏╥) somehow that rejection...hurt a lot more than I expected. For both Sumi and Haruhi. But it's better to be honest than to enter a relationship you don't really want. Both of them dodging future heartache there, even if it means more heartache in the current moment.

The popular kids are accepting of his Otaku Admission 😭 🥹 👏👏👏 (except maybe Chihiro. But he'll come around eventually. I swear get than man started with Sports Anime and you won't see him for MONTHS he'll be so addicted to that HAIKYU!! rush)

Ichika is missing? For real this time?? 🥺 Okay now I'm more worried. BUT HECK YEAH CRAZY TAXI DUO IS BACK AND HERE TO SAVE THE DAY ❤️❤️ now I know he's going to catch up to ichika no matter what! (Because Claire and jun are definitely here to help get this taxi where it needs to be 🤭😎)

OH SHOOT. OH NO. Sumi and Chihiro about to tell the truth 😭😭 but it's almost a half-truth at this point. Haruhi actually *wants* to be Ichika's boyfriend, but none of the school kids know that (yet.)

Papa Yuuto more angry about Haruhi than happy about finding his daughter 🥺 oof. We are in for a bad time.

Ichika says it. She says the thing. It's tough. It's painful. But I think it's amazingly courageous that she said that to her father, considering how terrified she was of him before.
Now, there's still one half-truth half-lie here that needs to be confessed 🥹 and I'm holding out for it to happen!!

The tumble down into the mud!! And then pantsu handkerchief!?!?!! 😱 Hahahahaha the worst thing to grab from the backpack 🤣 beautiful. But at least it helped lighten the moment, and now Haruhi can say the truth 😤 he turned Sumi down! No more otaku misunderstanding.

...now for otaku lost in the woods rescue mission 🌴 yessss. Except man, it is muddy, raining, and miserable. I'm feeling that right now. This chapter is resonating with my soul ⛈️🌀👍 and it also gives Haruhi and Ichika a reason to huddle together for warmth 👀 and maybe talk about their feelings...and Haruhi goes in for the confession!?!?!!!

AND THERE'S A FLAG ON THE PLAY ☠️🟨 YUUTO-SAN IS HERE TO INTERRUPT. Can we get an instant replay on that Papa Yuuto interruption?! I think we can! Here he is in slow motion, about to ruin this whole ship 😭😭😭

Hey, okay, you actually happened to catch me while I was in the middle of editing!! So I'm dropping by just to give a quick reply here! 👍

Right now I'm going through and doing edits until August 30th, and there's currently an extra Author's Note Outro chapter that I plan to delete, then I'll mark it as completed.
I wasn't sure if I could continue to edit / delete chapters after I marked it as Finished 🤔 so I was going to finish up everything on the 30th and mark it as Finished then, so it would be all wrapped up one day before the 31st! 👍

It was a deliberate choice to remove the first half! To signify that the story was nearing its finale, and also that Claire was missing It was definitely meant to be unsettling!! So I'm glad it worked!

(My debate was more if I should continue the "future-tense" theme after I left off the "Without a Love Sorceress" part. As in "I'll Refuse Fate" versus "I Refuse this Fate!" kind of thing. I decided to keep the tenses the same, so the pattern would still seem consistent.)

Hmm I'd say that you bring up a valid argument there. It was a little bit of an oversight on my part. I don't think you've read up to the final-final chapter yet, so I won't say too much. But there is a character who I envisioned writing that note (pretending to be Claire. Claire didn't actually write it.) So that Jun would be sure to be able to follow after.

But I ended up taking that out (for time and clarity) and just left it that Claire wrote the note, maybe as one tiny bit of hope that he might truly follow after her...even after giving him so many chances to accept a different path in life.

So if I see a good way (during edits) to bring back the fact that Claire *didn't* actually write that last note (but rather, someone else who was manipulating fate wrote it) then that might make this part stronger!!

Steins;Gate is a game I very much enjoyed and it definitely stayed with me, so I bet there is a little bit of that inspiration sneaking in here 😆 Jun survived the night but...will he survive if he returns to Earth? Or will fate keep trying to get him?

Originally I wasn't going to have Jun and Akaventus be parallel-selves 🤣 I was going to have them be unrelated people that happened to suffer a similar fate (ie: Claire hears Jun's last words and then recalls Akaventus saying those similar last lines, so she decides to help Jun just because of that, not because Jun/Akaventus were actually parallels.)
But most comments suspected that Jun would have more importance, and it seemed flimsy to have Claire go so far for someone who just happens to be a similar soul. So I gave Akaventus the first name of "Janus" and made the link to Jun. A little more predictable, perhaps, but I think it was for the best! :D

And, in the flashback, I imagine her around 16~17 years old? High school age, but perhaps young looking because of her features! I could definitely add this into the chapter if you think it would help with clarity!
(And then currently, I imagine her somewhere eternally 25~30 looking, since she can use magic to make her appearance whatever age she wishes.)
