An Art Museum visit?? Oooh a refined choice, very fitting of Kiyoshi-sama 😤 (somehow I love how Kiyoshi is just scowling like an angry little grumpy cat, while Hiromi is an excited little puppy about all this!!)
I'm glad their midterms went well!! But I'm more excited by wiggly little Kiyoshi, who secretly wants to talk 🤭 and know more about Hiromi! Kiyoshi might be hard to talk to, but his heart is genuinely sweet underneath it all.
That "Longing" painting though, the description gave me goosebumps!! I could feel the impact right along with Hiromi! Is there something that Hiromi is longing for too, somewhere in their heart?
The river and how Motoko saved Hiromi is such a cute memory, and just really shows how much of a strong bond Hiromi has with her ❤️ it's beautiful to see that kind of trusting bond, and know that Hiromi has that support. And now, Hiromi can accept themselves as who they are, and admit their secret to the people that they choose as deserving of knowing it 😁 including Kiyoshi!! Surprise hugggg!!!! And best friends!!
Honestly I love this story. I love that it didn't go too far down the romance direction, but rather was about all different forms of love: familial love, friendship bonds, and even about learning to love yourself. This was a wonderfully light hearted story, and truly showed...how do I put this? A world of acceptance. An accepting vibe that I think every teenager who is questioning their identity would have loved to have.
(Going to have serious moment here) Sadly, for many of us out there, this kind of support is a faraway dream. Many stories in the LGBTQ+ category often focus on angst, or misery, or the difficulties of being rejected for who you are. (And many others are just BL/GL fantasies 🤣) It is truly refreshing to me to see a story that avoids angst, and focuses on a beautiful world with true support. It is truly what I hope to see in the future someday, where acceptance is much more embraced.
Thank you for this beautiful story!! It is a lovely entry and I hope you are very proud of it ❤️ thank you for writing and letting us share in Hiromi's journey!!!!
