Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment! You're right that the story introduces some characters a bit suddenly, and I really appreciate you sharing your perspective.
Actually, since the story is written from Yuta’s point of view, everything we see is shaped by his attention and perception. That means if something doesn’t seem important to him, or he doesn’t pay much attention to it, it might feel underexplored to the reader too — and that’s intentional. For example, Sayuri was just someone until that moment at the concert, she wasn’t really “visible” to him either. The same goes for Aiko — she became more noticeable only after making the first move toward Yuta.
Also, the story starts in the summer, and everything before that is more of a transitional backdrop. While we could have explored more of the musical aspects or background, that might have made the pacing too slow or distracted from the emotional flow we wanted to keep.
but even though I don't want to be a spoiler for the rest of the story, we will be touching on this past a little more in the future. That way I can guarantee that this moment will be more than just diving into the emotions of the characters :) 🙏💙
