Hello Everyone! I'm a lover of all things horror, and can't go a day without writing or reading! My dream is to be a published author, so hopefully being on Honeyfeed will help. Thanks in advance for reading my work!

Pretty much, yeah lol. I might be a little obsessed with Alice in Wonderland. I hope you like the rest of the story!

Sadly, even if Rei used a voiceover on her text. Zack still wouldn't listen to her. That's the kind of big brother he is to her.

That's exactly what I was going for. Rei taught herself sign language in the hopes that her family would also learn and support her. Sadly....it didn't work.

Thank you! I was trying to set Rei up as a unreliable narrator, and thought using the first chapter title would be a good hint!

Thank you very much, it's an honor to hear that mine's the first story you've completely read. And there's a ton of good entries to choose from. I'll definitely contact you once I start editing this again. I also plan on writing the more...R rated sibling to this story once I have more time. Rei might even make a cameo!

That's pretty much what they did. They did the same thing in chapter 1.

Yes, and yes. Zack never viewed Rei as human or his sister. To him, she was just a lab rat that happened to live in the same house he did. As for the energy she's draining, the scientists aren't able to do anything with it yet. They do have a plan that's due to kick in when she turns 20, though!

I think I know the ones you're talking about, and as for if there's a 'real Rei'....I'm not telling, but you're really close!

The fire monster started acting a bit too human....I'm suspicious now. Keep up the great work!

That's the birb! I knew its name started with a C! If I had to pick, I'd probably go with the lion because it would probably kill me faster lol.

Thank you very much! I do intend to reedit this, and make it better. But it'll happen after the contest if I don't make it past the first round. I really enjoyed reading your comments and theories. Yes, there was symbolism in the tree, and why things kept happening whenever Rei reached another four years of life.

I won't explain it here, but you came very close a few times. Good luck with the contest, and feel free to message me on the Honeyfeed discord anytime!
