I smell a mystery brewing! The only thing that doesn't make sense to me is the MCs age. If he's 14 then shouldn't he be in middle school? And the idea that all have to write a novel together without knowing who the publisher is, is also a little strange. They can't do research and see what the publisher specializes in, or what's popular. I do like where the plot is going, though.

I agree that leaving some scenes to interpretation can be very fun, and I see what you mean. In Greek mythology, Thanatos is more like a guardian to the Doors of Death, so stopping time even for a few seconds can easily be in his toolset. Nice job!

I agree with what they said, but I do like the idea of Thanatos answering her prayers. The one scene that confused me was, why didn't the doctor do anything? Wasn't he right there on the roof with her? Other than that, this wasn't a bad read. Nicely done.
