Hey Stew. Hope your day is going well.
So I just wanted to address a few key points of your feedback that kind of did not reflect the reality of what actually happened in the story. Maybe you might have forgotten, maybe you might have read a little too fast and it kind of skipped your mind

    1. Their initial encounter was based on instant attraction yes. But it was not based on Taro being attracted to her breasts. On a second read, I'm sure you will discover that that moment was mainly used as comedic relief and was not actually what happened. It was just a funny misunderstanding because he was looking at her necktie.

    2. You described the main protagonists as pixie dream characters. But on a second read, I'm sure you will discover that both characters have their own individual goals, aspirations, and agency. The boy just wants to use technology to improve the lives of disabled people in the society, while the girl wants to live out her dream of becoming a music icon. Both of their goals and dreams are connected and that may be why it appeared to you that the girl was just serving the boy and nothing else. In reality, he actually gave up on trying to convince the society about his technology. He just wanted to help her achieve her dreams because he believes it is the right thing to do.

    3. Her voice is artificial yes. But it is also her expression. She might not have needed to train like professionals, but that is because the way she sings doesn't require so much physical effort due to the kind of technology she is using. This was brought up as a valid argument within the story. She may not sing like other artists, but it is the only way she is able to express herself while pursuing her dreams. The idea is whether or not people will accept her for the way she is, or demand that she returned to a world of silence and a world where she is unable to live out her dreams.

    4. The boy faced consequences. Emotional consequences for losing the one he loved. Her health had already deteriorated to the point that she was going to end up losing her life. So instead of putting an emotional burden on herself and those she loves, she decided to leave out her dream one more time before collapsing on stage.

And the epilogue was meant to reflect his growth and decision to carry out her legacy of helping others with physical challenges like she had.

I really appreciated your feedback. It was really encouraging. But these were the parts you might have misunderstood because they were all addressed within the story.

    Thank you again for reading.
