I tried to depict their relationship as shy and innocent as possible, especially since Mahiru has little experience with other people her age. I would hate to be in Kousei’s shoes… Either he goes along with the risky plan or he’ll likely never see Mahiru again, even though he seems to get along well with her. I’m glad his hesitation is clearly visible, I don’t think anyone could just go along with the plan without a second thought.

Mahiru was a tricky character to write as she avoids showing her vulnerable side most of the time, but every once in a while, her facade breaks down. Marrying someone you just met is kind of crazy, but I think it shows how desperate Mahiru is haha

Wait, what’s Yuta even doing in the club if he doesn’t sing or play an instrument? Is he just there for emotional support? xD I can’t wait to see Lyra’s reaction on their performance haha.

This entire chapter gave me that same feeling I experienced while watching/reading famous music anime or novels. There are just way too few out there, we really need more from the musical romance genre🥲 I’m glad I found your story to fill that gap!
