I really enjoyed the cultural differences in this chapter, you managed to bring them out very well. Jade is a little too persistent at the end for my own liking, but I can't deny he's really charming xD

Letting the world end by choice of a goddess is definitely an interesting option. When thinking of the end of the world, I usually imagine some accident or inevitable disaster. I wouldn't have considered some sort of malicious goddess, so I'm excited to see where this goes.
I agree with some of the comments describing the prose as sober, but I think it works out well here given Henox's personality and lack of ambition.

Oh I totally get it, don’t get me wrong. I like using a first person narrator, but it always has the drawback that the reader can only feel what your protagonist/narrator feels. If your protagonist doesn’t think much of a person, chances are the readers will be indifferent to them as well.

Personally, this has always been my biggest challenge when using a first person narrator, so I’m excited to see how you’ll manage to avoid it in future chapters!

Let me just say that the analogy with the mask at the beginning was great, I thought it was really well-written. This is becoming very messy very fast, what is this at this point, a love hexagon? xD Personally, I would have preferred if some of the characters were introduced a bit earlier, in particular Aiko and Sayuri. It takes me quite a bit of time to get attached to characters, so the confessions could have hit me a lot harder if I had known more about them. Either way, I’m here for the drama, and I’m sure the big confessions are yet the come👀

Okay I did NOT see this coming. You managed to capture the emotions throughout the chapter very well. From Yuta’s loneliness during the performance to the sense of uneasiness when Aiko approached him, I could really see what he was feeling all the time. Can’t wait for the obligatory hot springs chapter xD

This chapter feels so calm for the most part, with a hint of loneliness seeping through between the lines. I felt so bad for Yuta when he mentioned he was no longer needed and moved to the audience. And as for the last sentence… I could almost hear his heart break when he read Lyra’s message :(

Ahhhhh Yuta is SO in love, it’s kind of adorable. I don’t know much about music unfortunately, but the descriptions in this chapter were very understandable even for someone like me. Also, I don’t know why, but I love the sentence “the wind gently played with her hair” towards the end. It’s really subtle, but it makes it sound like Lyra’s hair is some sort of instrument, and I think that’s beautiful xD

Isn’t it amazing how fast cultures change once you cross a border? But sometimes, it can also be a little scary, especially if you feel lost in your new surroundings. Mahiru’s probably very happy to have such an understanding person like Kousei by her side who can slowly explain to her how people in the West live their lives haha.
