No catgirl or foxgirl option? This is supposed to be isekai! Haha, just kidding 🤣 This is actually a really cool chapter. I love the concept of getting ahold of your new life's magical contract (as it were) and making modifications 👍

I Am The Prophesied Apocalypse - Volume 1

Chapter:2

Minor editing suggestion:

> She led us behind a corner and to a hole in the wall,

Might be better as:

> She led us behind a corner to a hole in the wall,

...or something like:

> She led us behind a corner—through a hole in the wall,

If you still want the 'and' it would make more sense for 'to' to be 'into':

> She led us behind a corner and into a hole in the wall,

...but it's such a minor thing *anyway*, doesn't really matter. The original isn't wrong—it just read kinda strange to me 🤷

BTW: You write very well. Great pacing 👍

Maizy's Tails: Mass, Memory, Disorder

Chapter:17

To:lolitroy

This is actually explained a bit later: Maizy stayed in the pouch much longer than usual. So when she finally emerged she was a lot more "ready to go" than your typical kad/sugar glider. By the end of the story she's just a bit too big for Mom's pouch and that's only 8 days after this chapter.

For reference, here's a quote about sugar glider gestation IRL (which is crazy fast!):

> As is common with marsupials, gestation (pregnancy) usually only lasts 15 to 17 days. After birth the babies, called joeys, crawl into their mother's pouch, where they remain until they are 70 to 74 days old. Young sugar gliders usually wean themselves at about 4 months of age.

Maizy also has the memory tail which has been quietly enhancing her ability to learn speech. That's why she was picking up on the stuff being spoken outside the pouch while she was stuck in there.

I researched and thought really hard about all of that stuff when I wrote this... Trying to keep with a logical developmental timeline (in a world with magic, haha).

Also keep in mind that Mom still has to feed Maizy every day. Maizy is not old enough yet to go out hunting/foraging for food. She really *is* dependent on her parents (you'll get to meet dad eventually too!). Though, with *certain equipment* that might actually be possible (no spoilers!) hehe.

I love how no one questions, "god of mysteries". It's just accepted with a nod. The truth is that I couldn't come up with a "god of <something>" that would make sense for the personality I wanted him to have so I was just like, "Fuck it! He's a god of mysteries." 🤣

OMG it was *so hard* to come up with cute female kad names that would work for twins because they have to be named after where they were born. Bloom and Blossom were kind of a stretch but were too perfect to pass up 😀

> groves of peaches and apples and bananas

*Bananas*, you say? This is certainly a fantasy world, then! Because normally you can only grow apples if you get a hard freeze over winter but you *can't* grow bananas if it *ever* gets below 40°F 😀

Might I suggest a minor edit? Replace bananas with loquats. They're delicious and can grow in hot/humid *and* cold environments (and high altitudes). They'd be the *perfect* fruit/tree for a fantasy world like this. I used to have a whole bunch of loquat trees that I grew myself from seed at my previous house and we ate them off the tree whenever there was fruit (so good; super sweet!) 👍

Why don't we see loquats in supermarkets? *They don't keep* after they're picked. You have to eat them right away or turn them into jam (or otherwise cook them into something).

Other options: Plums, pluots, lychee, and pomegranate.

Warm environments: Banana, carambola (star fruit), and if you *really* want to make things interesting: *horned melon*. The vines would be terrifying to a fairy—able to shred wings!

I've grown horned melon and let me tell you: Never again! LOL!

Ya know, I actually haven't decided that yet! I was thinking about giving her the climate control tail (which would let her freeze/burn anything around her) but I was also thinking about maybe giving her something special like a spell tail that lets her draw magic symbols in the air or something like that.

If I gave her a spell tail, something Maizy discovers later in the book would make Grandma *vastly* more powerful 🤔

Though, if I write more books I kinda wanted to reserve the "able to write magic symbols in the air" as something that *any* kad could learn how to do once they work out how to make staves/wands 🤔
