Noooo… where's the 'next' button??? I can't find it T.T
Rose, I absolutely loved this work of yours... it was so sweet, so cute, so engaging! I lly loved the way u presented these concepts. The characters' convictions were amazing from start to finish, and honestly, I couldn't have expected anything less from you. Kenji and Airi are just so lovable.
Unlike the tone of your other story, this one explores philosophical themes that make us keep thinking about them even after finishing. I say that because, even if it's not with aliens, we face similar situations in real life every day; things that make us reflect on what it means to be human in a world full of evil, violence, inequality, and so on. It's sad, and we know how hard and idealistic it can be to fight for these causes. But seeing someone with as much conviction as Airi (and Kenji too), it makes you feel like maybe there's still hope for humanity, that if there's even one good person left out there, maybe we're still a race worth saving. (Kinda reminds me of the story of Abraham with Sodom and Gomorrah.)
Anyway…
After this ending, I'm a bit torn, ngl. I love your other work, but now I keep wondering which one's my favorite. (Don't tell Lucien, but I might be slightly leaning toward our alien friends this time.)
(PS: Once again, I jumped the gun… Kenji's dad actually redeemed himself LOL)
