These are great points! I’m considering reducing the heartbeats and using more descriptions in these spots. As for triops, I’ll make sure to add a bit in there to better describe them at some point! These are all great points.

I found the use of ‘Instinct’ very interesting. It seems to be a natural reaction to his creation, like it is meant to be but the capitalization of it gives a sense of character. it seems like Instinct is it’s own being to at is protecting the protagonist. I’m curious to see more of this Instinct!

This was a great portrayal of confusion. To be suddenly awoken to a new world, new life, and not human would be very confusing. But as a bug he has his innate instincts which he uses to the fullest. I love how his questions are never really answered, really on brand for that feeling of “those who know, know” that has been brought forward several times. Great job!

I love the transition you had in the world as they passed the invisible line to the territory surrounding the Great Abode. It is such a simple but stark transition that does well to show the difference between the societies. From fields (more wild and agrarian) to the manicured lawns (signs of wealth and privilege) it was a great show of conflicting realities. Paired with the mandatory reverence and forced ascent of the stairs that all must observe, you definitely nail home the feeling that these beings are not necessarily good or kind.

What a great chapter. It is a powerful thing to see a deity weep. His passion for his projects is beautiful and then to have of revealed that he did it for them, so that they could have a family. Wonderful! I find myself what makes Saif’s soul so special. was it the life of sadness already breaking him down? Or was it how he continues to do the right thing despite it? it’ll be interesting to see.

Very well done. I like the switching between the perspective of the godly figures and the pour soul. it was great seeing the workshop and how Bron makes the figures of clay. I enjoyed the bits about what bugs he is designing this new form from and found it interesting that a few lines were without insects (really leaves it up to the reader to envision). Lots of Gods crafted their children of clay and it makes me wonder which Bron could be modelled himself as. Though the thought of him alone in his workshop, ignored by other beings and lucky to be loved at all, I’m getting Hephaestus vibes.

Without a doubt I feel bad for this protagonist and his troubled past. I already hope things get better for him.
