This was a very nice ending that did well to contrast the drama and challenges of the last couple of chapters. It is rewarding to see the characters reuniting after the three years and having the relationship they did.
The feeling of watching the ISS fall back to the earth and burn up is an interesting one. It is a feeling of respite for the girls who had all suffered so much up there, but I feel like it can be more. To have them staring up from the epicentre of regrowth, while watching the station fall, I feel that this moment is symbolic for new beginnings. the death of one old international community (the ISS) and the birth of a new one (the magical reactor fueling growth).
I feel at the end of this that I wished there was more (those I still have the omake chapters to read), but I find a beauty in that final scene that feels right. After everything, not only are they free, but a new, fragile world is finally growing from the ashes of the old one. Just like some forests require the fire to gain new growth, the quick wildfire that swept the world on Hoshinauts seems to have stimulated new life. Great work Steward!
