Again with the wonderfully fast paced combat. You have an amazing talent for writing these fight scenes with a sense of urgency that really pushes the narrative forward. Amazing job, Gurg!
I really liked the way you have the BBEG of this scene monologue all the names that Ishigami and then how you used them on the fight to give a different view on the same character. It helped prevent the combat from getting repetitive and was a uniquely you moment. I couldn’t have pulled that off. So great job there!
That moment, with the thanks to Katy Perry was absolutely wonderful. It fit just right and really ties into the chapter title. You end it in such a way that makes me want to keep reading to see what is next.
Combat is definitely a strong suit of yours. It’s different than other fight scenes I’ve read, but there’s a unique pacing and imagery that puts me as the reader right there. Again, I think that is due to your relatable descriptions. Absolutely fantastic!
