I thoroughly enjoyed Sequence of Kai. I think the way it's written prose-wise is kinda clunky and even now I don't think I got fully into it. However, the world that Oscar created was more than enough to keep my interest.
Not much more needs to be said about the orgasmic dialogue. It slaps from character to character, with my favourites being Kai and Bastien.
The worldbuilding, too, just oozes coolness and style. The way the 'game' and its players are presented. There's so much mystery yet it keeps me wanting to learn more about the world. So much so I hate Oscar for leaving the story there. I wanted to learn more about Bastien and his powers. I wanted to learn more about Amir and his deal.
All in all, I'm happy I finished this novel and I eagerly await more.
