tbh u have this thing where u introduce new characters almost in a hurry it feels (and i wont comment about them all being stalkers again 😭) (wait maybe i just did) which im FINE with cuz i lowkey have done and prolly will do the same for a coward's comedy but its just like those characters are sort of irrelevant later on. actually actually actually maybe this only applies to anita's servants or whoever was stalking them in the night of the virtual dead BUT even for people like mariko and charl they were just sorta thrown in and that was it. i sort of found it funny so its not too bad, but the moment we're in RIGHT NOW is a bit different. it feels like a pivotal moment for relationships where they havent really been consolidated yet, and like instead of defining them, youre introducing another character right in the middle of it (another LOVE INTEREST MAYBE?!?!??!) which is a very bold move. i understand that it may have been mostly used as a plot device to transition into ume's past, but it still feels that way since he's the main person of interest rn... even tho we're learning about ume's past. NOT SURE if im makign any sense and this might just look like a wall of text but ye to say the least it feels stale, but its not irredeemable nor would i even go as far as to call it bad. this dude could very well end up being the GOAT (thats what im hoping for ngl) or he could just be another rando but we shall see how u incorporate him this time around.
