For what you said about the development being quick, I have something to say about that - it was sort of like a child’s approach to love. Like when preschoolers say they’re in love with each other and want to go out, they can’t truly envision what that means. They just lack the complexity of thought necessary for it. They might try to imitate others and base their actions with each other on preconceived notions of how they think love should be, but even then, they can’t fully grasp it. A preschooler asking another if they want to date is almost like they’re asking if they want to be friends or hang out after school. It’s on the same level of interaction. Thats sort of how I wanted to portray the events in this chapter.
